Anniversary Weekend

Anniversary Weekend

Well, so it isn't actually our wedding anniversary (that was a couple of months ago!)... but this past saturday was the exact date Adam and I first met five years ago! If I'm being totally honest, I had completely forgotten about the day itself, but Adam has a bit of an advantage with it being the same day as his brother's birthday! Regardless, he made the day sooo special and I was so impressed with him. In the morning, he came downstairs with a dozen mixed pink roses, some chocolates, and the. sweetest. card I have ever gotten. Seriously, tears were r u n n i n g down my face. Do any of you guys know how you can go a while without crying about much, and then all of a sudden you have one of THOSE weeks, where everything is going wrong but you're all 'it's fine guys I'm cool', and then, out of nowhere, the floodgates open and you cry over just about anything? Well, that has been my week, folks. So when I read the card, which told of so many little memories, the good and the bad, some in detail and some brief, fond collections of his favorite memories, I bawled. Tears streamed down my face as I read his words about the past five years of living, growing, learning and loving together all on two short pages. This husband of mine sure has amazed me lately. He always has, really, but these days, I find myself thinking so, so often that I seriously don't know where I'd be without him.

Then for the day, we headed to downtown Milwaukee for the last maker's market ever (an event where lots of local artists sell their stuff). We met a lot of local artists and makers and had a great time! It was right near Lake Michigan, so after doing some Christmas shopping, we headed out to the doc to walk by the lake and take a few pictures!

It was such a nice weekend and I just love every weekend with my little family. I hope you guys had a good one too!
